Working on the sides

When I was around ten, I remember thinking….I’m not very good in english, I better be good in math.

Flash forward…flash more forward… computers and spell check, web sites and writing courses, and a desire to write. I had a good story. That was done by the end of 2014. I quickly found out that was not enough. It was like inviting everyone to Thanksgiving dinner, then only serving turkey.

Last September the characters’s voices took control, and the book matured. Chapters disappeared, and moved, characters said things I did not expect…and rewrite and rewrite and….

September 15th, I stopped. The book needs to be read, before I make my last edit, before I send it out to literary agents.

In the end, I hope your patience pays off.

I leave you with my latest elevator pitch:

Rejected, Princess Andrea and her farser beast make a new home on an alien spacecraft, only to discover the aliens believe her people are the last remnant of a sadistic race, that must be destroyed.

Cassie's Word: Take a breath and enjoy the moment.
