Beginnings

Seriously, millennials, blog is the best name you could come up with? It sounds like how I feel after too much partying or I have the flu. What would Emily Dickerson say?

The reason for my "Not Blog" is to:

Promote my book

Have fun

Chocolate

and the best thing is, I have no idea where this will all lead. (please let it be Oprah)

I decided I would need some help with this blog so I have brought in Cassie, my twelve month old Cavalier to help. She is wise beyond her years and helps me to keep things in perspective. She will have her word at the end of each blog.

So let's get started promoting the book. I plan to be shameless and to ask everyone I have ever known or not known to help. I kinda feel like I am working for Darth Vader, although I am not sure why, and after watching a little tv I feel better about the shameless promotion stuff.

The Ninth Child has now become a part of my soul. I began putting words to paper(aka computer) around 2002 or 2003. It was a curious evolution. I knew from the beginning that I wanted something with depth that would still be PG. I wrote without remembering exactly what I had written before and it was not until I started trying to get The Ninth Child to a literary agent that it truly became part of my consciousness. I now have a much better recognition of just how much work is involved in publishing and I know that, I still barely know anything about it. I thought the hard part was writing the book.
